Overview

 

Executive Editor of the Internetnews.com Channel for Jupitermedia's Web division

Began with the company (then-named Internet.com) as a managing editor of atNewYork.com, a pioneering Web site and newsletter covering the rise of Silicon Alley, followed by coverage of its decline.

Hosted breakfast forums for audiences of about 300 guests during my tenure as a NY regional editor.

Also covered and broke stories about Microsoft Windows; ISPs, venture capital, networking, consulting and developer tools.

Promoted to current position in November, 2004.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Currently manage a staff of 10 editors for Internetnews.com, a daily Web site for IT decision makers

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing beat assignments, enterprising stories, features and weekly editorial calls
  • Planning monthly workshops for improving staff's skills and adopting new tools
  • Producing monthly ad-server and traffic reports for senior management
  • Daily edits for voice, tone and style
  • Line edits for staff training
  • Planning new product initiatives

Position also includes travel to San Francisco bureau to liason with editorial staff there, and writing a twice-monthly column.
